In 2012 we holidayed with Explore in Tanzania. We chose an 'active' week, meaning two game drives per day, and we booked a balloon safari over the Serengeti as an added extra. Well, you only live once. An extraordinary experience all round.
Given the choice, I would go again, but take a day off to sit on the terrace at the Tarangire Safari Lodge, and take in the fantastic tableau.
